Defence Summit Asia 2010 is the 2nd annual summit focusing on the development of defence technology. In 2010, we discussed on the advancement of military technology to support the requirements of battlefield environment today. Advanced know-how often give critical advantage to war fighters, therefore militaries are regularly researching into ways to further develop their capabilities. Defence Summit Asia’s series of conferences brought together leaders, academia, officers and defence related industries to exchange expertise, knowledge and criticisms on the systems capabilities that govern militaries’ use.
Defence Summit Asia 2010 kicked off with an integrated session of Strategic Insights in the morning of 2 March 2010. This interactive session gathered all conference participants in an engaging high-level dialogue and insight sharing that stimulated new perspectives on the evolution of battlefield environment and its supporting defence technology.
The summit consisted of 3 concurrent conferences, together with a series of workshops, were co-located over the same week to maximise synergy and social networking opportunities! Defence Summit Asia 2010 addressed key topics on military technologies capabilities and development, challenges in capabilities deployment, successes and failures of technologies in supporting a mission, intelligence, battle support management, military robotics, radar technology and international real-world case studies globally.
